Earl Bales Community Day Camp is a community-based, community-organized, non-profit day camp providing a recreational, social and learning experience designed to meet the needs of children aged 4 to 10.
Our program includes arts and crafts, music and drama, swimming, group games, nature hikes, sports, science and technology, theme days, water play, parents’ night performances and special events.
We make full use of the 162 acres of green parkland at Earl Bales Park, as well as the Ski Chalet.
REGULAR AND EXTENDED HOURS
Camp runs from Monday to Friday, from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm.
Our Extended Hours Program runs 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and incurs an additional fee per week, per child. If you are interested in enrolling in extended hours, please fill out and submit your extended hours form at the same time as your registration forms. Space is limited.
In both cases, transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of the parents.
Each group is under the leadership of at least three mature, experienced counsellors and at least one CIT, who together make each child feel special and help them get the most out of the program. Talented specialists lead our Drama and Music, Nature, Arts & Crafts, and Sports programs.
Camper-to-staff ratio is a low 5:1.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining the best staff around, visit our "Staff Positions" page to learn how to submit an application.
